For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this season has been a disappointment. Injuries have played a major part in that and they continue to get hit with the bug.
According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, the Bucs veteran linebacker Lavonte David tore his MCL during Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins.
David, the Buccaneers’ weakside linebacker and one of their top players on defense, underwent an MRI on Monday to confirm the diagnosis. The typical recovery timetable is two to four weeks, but nothing has been decided yet.
Although the team has struggled mightily on defense, David has been consistent on that side of the ball for the Buccaneers.
