The Buccaneers have officially started their offseason with a familiar classic, the re-signing of legendary linebacker Lavonte David. Tampa has (willing) spent serveral consecutive offseasons waiting for indications as to whether or not David would decide to retire from football, before ultimately inking a new short-term agreement. This offseason, however, David's return seemed the most unsure— comparable to years prior.
Though David doesn't look it, the Buccaneers' future Ring of Honor member will play next season at 35-years old (relatively ancient for a player at his position). He will be doing so on a one-year deal that is reportedly worth $10-million.
