Despite being involved in seven transactions since September 3, linebacker Josh Keyes has played in every game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so far this season. An eighth transaction would be necessary for that to remain true, as Keyes currently finds himself on the Buccaneers' practice squad.
The Bucs re-signed both Keyes and rookie running back Russell Hansbrough to that 10-man practice squad on Wednesday. Two spots were open thanks to the promotion of wide receiver Jeremy Butler to the active roster on Tuesday and the release of wide receiver Jonathan Krause.
The Buccaneers obviously value having Keyes in the fold, as he has played in 11 games since 2015 and has otherwise spent significant time on the practice squad.
