The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have Jude Adjei-Barimah back after cutting him last week. Per Jenna Laine of ESPN, the cornerback passed through waivers and therefore landed on the Bucs’ injured reserve—she even spotted him in the locker room.
When teams waive players with an injury in the preseason, other teams get the chance to claim them—and if none do, they revert to their original team’s injured reserve list. Usually, teams will only take this risk with players they think are very replaceable—and many times, they’ll release those players from injured reserve with a settlement.
