TAMPA - Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston doubled down on victories this week.
After winning his first game as a pro starter during the Bucs 26-19 victory over the Saints on Sunday, Winston won Rookie of the Week honors for Week 2 of the NFL season on Friday.
Winston, who won the award in fan voting on NFL.com, completed 14 of 21 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown in leading the Bucs to their first victory of the season last Sunday.
Winston also ran for a touchdown against the Saints and won the award over five other nominees, including Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper, Redskins running back Matt Jones, Cardinals running back David Johnson and Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters.
