The Bucs' opponent Sunday has added another former SEC defensive back in hopes of restoring what was once a strength.
The Cardinals claimed Tharold Simon, who started five games for the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl team in 2014, off waivers on Wednesday. Simon, who has plagued by toe injuries that cost him his rookie season in 2013 and sidelined him the entire 2015 season, joins a Cardinals secondary full of familiar faces.
He played at LSU alongside current Arizona defensive backs Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu and Kevin Minter. The Cardinals secondary faces a test Sunday from NFC offensive player of the week Jameis Winston and wide receiver Mike Evans.
