An Oklahoma product, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy spent his time off the field on Thursday decked out in the orange and white of the Sooners’ arch rival Texas Longhorns.
“Lost a bet,’’ McCoy said, referring to a wager he made with fellow defensive tackle and Texas alum Henry Melton, who won the wager when Texas defeated Oklahoma 24-17 two weeks ago.
“The official bet was that, all day long I have to wear Texas head to toe,’’ McCoy said. “Plus, I have to play the Texas fight song while I do pushups in all Texas gear.
