Freddie Martino apparently did well in his 2017 audition last Sunday.
On Friday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers promoted the second-year wide receiver from the practice squad to the active roster for the second time in as many weeks. To make room on the 53-man roster, the team waived wide receiver Bernard Reedy.
Martino spent the first nine weeks of the season on the Buccaneers' practice squad but was elevated to the active roster last week to play against the New York Jets while the team was without wide receiver Mike Evans. Martino was then waived and subsequently re-signed to the practice squad after Evans returned from his one week NFL suspension.
