TAMPA, Fla. -- Kicker Kyle Brindza had a turbulent tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before he was cut after four games last year. On Saturday, he took to Twitter to wish Roberto Aguayo well after the Bucs drafted the Florida State product No. 59 overall Friday.
Aguayo, the 2013 Lou Groza Award winner, received congratulations from Brindza the morning after the Bucs traded their third-round pick (No. 74) and one of their two fourth-round selections (No. 106) to the Kansas City Chiefs to take Aguayo.
Congrats @_RobertoAguayo on being selected by @TBBuccaneers.
