Doug Williams came back to the Bucs with six years in their front office, of course, but his induction to the team's Ring of Honor is not his only football return to Tampa.
Williams never faced the Bucs as an NFL opponent during his final years with the Redskins, but in 1984 and 1985, he returned to Tampa in the USFL, with the Oklahoma (and later Arizona) Outlaws.
Williams threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns in his first return, but that was a 48-21 loss to the Bandits, in which Williams got two personal fouls for late hits on players who'd intercepted him.
