Tampa Bay Buccaneers
TAMPA — As they approach the NFL draft, the lifeblood of any successful NFL organization, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seek an infusion of talent.
After dwelling in the NFC South basement for the fourth consecutive season, the Bucs are expected to select a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick when the 2015 draft commences Thursday in Chicago. But a 2-14 record last season suggests other areas of weakness need to be addressed with Tampa Bay’s remaining seven picks.
“It’s not just that first pick, it’s the others we’re going to get, too,” coach Lovie Smith said.
