NEW ORLEANS — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hoping the return of wide receiver Mike Evans will spark an attack that struggled through a 42-14 season-opening loss to the Titans last week.
Evans, who caught 68 passes for 1,051 yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns as a rookie last year, missed the Bucs opener last week but he’s back in the lineup today.
The Bucs still won’t be at full strength, though. A defense that failed to slow the Titans quick passing game will be without starting safety Major Wright and reserve defensive end T.J. Fatinikun.
Wright will miss the game with an abdomen injury he suffered during last week’s loss while Fatinikun will miss his second straight game with a shoulder injury.
