TAMPA, Fla. -- They may or may not agree with what San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick believes or his method of protest -- sitting during the national anthem to shed light on racial oppression in America -- but Tampa Bay Buccaneers players and head coach Dirk Koetter respect his right to free speech.
"I think everyone has a right to their opinion. It’s an individual, you know what I mean?" said wide receiver Vincent Jackson. "I think that [those are] his beliefs. Personally, I wouldn’t associate football players or his team in that light.
