TAMPA — Everybody won when they were around Tony Dungy. Even when they lost.
They won again Saturday when Dungy was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He’ll join another man of dignity from one end of his Bucs career to another: Lee Roy Selmon. He’ll join Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks, Dungy men who helped make the Bucs winners. The great Bucs safety, John Lynch, the fierce back end of Dungy’s Tampa 2 defense, might not be far behind. Lynch made the final 10 on Saturday. J.L. is closing.
But this one’s for Tony.
