A brand new season is a beautiful thing. All the disappointments and failures are in the rearview mirror. Why dwell on the past? What’s done is done. No one is embracing this mentality more than Doug Martin.
After an underwhelming 2014 campaign, Martin is essentially in do or die mode. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t pick up his fifth-year option, making him an unrestricted free agent after this season. If he wants to remain with the Buccaneers or ink a lucrative deal with another team next offseason, he will need to show flashes of his rookie year form.
