DAVIE — Dolphins reserve defensive tackle Leon Orr was cut during practice Wednesday when the team learned of his arrest on marijuana charges near Naples.
Orr, 24, who played at Gulf High and Florida, was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor marijuana possession and felony possession of a controlled substance after police stopped him for having illegally tinted windows in his BMW, a Collier County Sheriff's Office report said. He is out on $7,000 bail.
The Dolphins had Tuesday off.
"We're in the middle of the season," coach Adam Gase said. "This is the No. 1 priority. If guys have other priorities, then they can go about their business somewhere else.
