TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and running back Jacquizz Rodgers are finalizing a deal for him to return, a necessary move given the uncertainty of Doug Martin's status. Martin, a two time Pro Bowler, left the team last season with one game remaining to enter a drug treatment program and will be forced to serve the remainder of a four-game suspension next year. Therefore, the Bucs need a starter for at least three games, and Rodgers can fill that role.
Here is more on the move:
Terms: Financial terms are still being negotiated between the Bucs and Rodgers but it will be for two years, ESPN has learned.
