Bucs, Winston struggle in 42-14 loss to Titans, Mariota

TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will open the season today without their touchdown leader from a year ago.

Wide receiver Mike Evans, who led the 12 touchdown receptions last year, will miss the team’s opener against Tennessee with a sore hamstring.

But Bucs coach Lovie Smith has a history of being extremely cautious with hamstring injuries.

Not surprisingly, cornerback Mike Jenkins, who strained a hamstring in practice last Thursday, will join Evans on the sidelines,

Also sitting out for the Bucs today are quarterback Ryan Griffin, running back Mike James, center Eric Kush and defensive ends Kourtnie Brown and T.
