TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Vernon Hargreaves has a torn labrum and will be placed on injured reserve, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.
Hargreaves had the injury confirmed after getting a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Florida.
Hargreaves was hurt while diving to break up a pass intended for running back Alvin Kamara in the fourth quarter of the Bucs' 48-40 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Hargreaves' injury was first reported by the Tampa Bay Times.
The 2016 first-round draft pick finished the game with seven combined tackles, a pass breakup and a forced fumble.
