The Buccaneers took home their first win of the 2016 preseason when they defeated the Jaguars, 27-21, on Saturday night in Jacksonville. The Bucs picked up touchdown passes from Jameis Winston and Mike Glennon, along with a scoring run from Storm Johnson, to secure the victory.
Both teams’ starters played about a quarter and a half. At the conclusion of that period, the Jaguars led, 14-7. Blake Bortles tossed two touchdown passes, one to T.J. Yeldon and another to Allen Hurns, while Jameis Winston connected with Mike Evans to get the Bucs’ first-team offense their only touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, Vernon Hargreaves shined.
