Bay area residents who want to join the fight against Parkinson's disease, here's a chance to make your move.
On Saturday, April 7, the National Parkinson Foundation will host Moving Day® Tampa Bay – a Walk for Parkinson's at the University of South Florida. Moving Day® is an annual fundraising and awareness event that highlights movement and exercise as a symbol of hope and progress for the Foundation's ongoing fight against Parkinson's disease, which affects approximately one million Americans and their families. Event attendees will be able to take part in such activities as yoga, dance and tai chi, which have been shown to help manage Parkinson's symptoms.
