Bucs sign safety McFadden, release former USF and Jefferson receiver Andre Davis

TAMPA — With only two healthy safeties after Sunday's game, the Bucs on Tuesday signed S , who was with the team in preseason, and former USF WR Andre Davis was released as one of four practice-squad moves.

McFadden, 24, played at South Carolina State and had six tackles for the Bucs in preseason action. He spent time on the practice squads of the Bucs, Falcons and Saints in 2014 as well. The Bucs had safeties Major Wright (hamstring) and D.J. Swearinger (toe) inactive Sunday, then saw Bradley McDougald sidelined with a concussion; it was unknown which if any of those three will be available Sunday against the Cowboys.
