TAMPA — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers further fortified the cornerback position on Monday by signing free agent Josh Robinson, a Central Florida product who spent his first four years in the NFL with the Vikings.
Robinson was a third-round pick of the Vikings in 2012 who played well as a rookie but began to struggle a year later when then-Vikings coach Leslie Frazier moved him to nickel corner.
Robinson, slowed a year ago by a torn pectoral muscle, has started just five of the 21 games he’s played the last two years but he did record three interceptions during that span.
