TAMPA — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday signed four players to futures contracts, including two familiar to head coach Dirk Koetter and defensive coordinator Mike Smith.
Defensive end Cliff Matthews was a seventh-round pick of the Falcons in 2011, when Smith was the team’s head coach, and wide receiver Bernard Reedy was a part of the last Falcons team Smith coached in 2014.
Koetter, who took over as the Bucs head coach following the firing of Lovie Smith last month, was the Falcons offensive coordinator when Atlanta signed Reedy as an undrafted free agent in the summer of 2014.
