TAMPA — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former Jefferson High and University of South Florida wide receiver Andre Davis to their practice squad.
Davis was named the Bulls’ MVP after catching 36 passes for 594 yards and a team-record tying seven touchdowns during the 2014 season. He later signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent.
Davis signs as the Bucs are looking to shore up a receiving corps that was hit hard by injuries during a 31-30 loss at the Redskins on Sunday.
The Bucs lost wide receiver Louis Murphy for the rest of the season after Murphy suffered a right ACL injury.
