Bucs re-sign WR Chris Godwin to 3-year, $66 million deal

Wide receiver Chris Godwin was the top player at his position expected to hit free agency this week. However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers refused to let him hit the open market in the end and have reportedly agreed to a new three-year, $66 million contract with $44 million guaranteed.

The new deal solidifies the Bucs’ top receiving trio, keeping Godwin on the field with both Mike Evans and surprising rookie Jalen McMillan.

Godwin started the 2024 season on fire prior to his season-ending injuries just seven games into the schedule. In those 6+ games he was healthy, he recorded 50 receptions for 576 yards and five touchdowns.
