TAMPA — Whether it’s a veteran of the 3-4 defensive scheme or an NFL rookie, it takes some time to master defensive coordinator Todd Bowles’ scheme.
Asked to describe this version of the 3-4 on Saturday, Bucs outside linebacker Shaq Barrett — who excelled in a 3-4 defense in Denver before signing with Tampa Bay in the offseason — fondly called the system “aggressive.”
"I love it," Barrett said. "I love it a lot. And that's crazy, because I played in a 3-4 for a long time, and it's different than all the 3-4's I've been in.
