The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has placed cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III on Injured Reserve and re-signed defensive end Will Clarke.
Hargreaves started in Tampa Bay’s Week 1 game against New Orleans, recording seven tackles, a forced fumble and a pass defensed.
Clarke (6-6, 275) played in 15 games for Tampa Bay last season, recording 29 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He spent this past offseason and preseason with the Buccaneers. A Pittsburgh native, Clarke played collegiately at West Virginia.
