TAMPA — TE Tim Wright wouldn’t trade the season he spent with the Patriots for anything. After all, he has a Super Bowl ring to show for it. Still, Wright says he’s glad to be back in Tampa.
“I’m pretty happy about (the opportunity) to step in and contribute right away,” said Wright, whom the Bucs claimed off waivers two days after the Pats let him go last week.
Wright, a third-year pro out of Rutgers, was traded to New England for LG Logan Mankins during the preseason last year. While there, he continued to emerge as a key red-zone target.
