TAMPA — Connor Barth never lost faith.
In his second stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 29-year-old kicker had been hoping to resurrect his NFL career since suffering an Achilles injury during a charity basketball event in the summer of 2013.
“I look forward to coming here and helping this team win some games,’’ Barth said Wednesday, the day after Tampa Bay brought him back to replace struggling Kyle Brindza. ”Being able to be one of 32 kickers in this league again is pretty cool. I always had a positive attitude.’’
Barth lost his job to rookie Patrick Murray last year and played five games for the Broncos, making 15 of 16 field-goal attempts.
