TAMPA — Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Daryl Smith knows his new coaches a lot better than he knows his new teammates.
Having played for linebackers coach Mark Duffner and defensive coordinator Mike Smith in Jacksonville several years ago, Smith is well aware of what it’s like to work for them.
As for what it will be like to work alongside players such as linebacker Lavonte David and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, the 13-year veteran says aid he’s just now beginning to get familiar with that dynamic.
There is one player, however, that Smith seems to know rather well already, and that is quarterback Jameis Winston, who quickly confirmed everything Smith though he knew about him before joining the Bucs.
