Bucs' Mike Evans leads NFL with 10 dropped passes

TAMPA - The official tabulations have been done and the results are in.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans officially doubled down on the number of passes he’s dropped this year when he dropped five during the Bucs 32-18 loss to the Giants last week, according to ProFootballFocus.com.

Evans has now dropped an NFL-high 10 of the 42 “catchable balls’’ he’s been thrown, according to the website’s calculations, and also leads the league with a 23.81-percent drop-rate that is 8-percent higher than the second pass catcher on that list, Oakland’s Amari Cooper (15.09).

Evans said the flurry of drops Sunday was largely the result of the struggles he had holding on to a wet ball on a rainy day.
