Bucs' Martin back to form with 123 yards, 3 TDs vs. Jaguars

TAMPA — With a shimmy here and a shake there, Doug Martin has stepped into a time machine and transported himself back to 2012.

That was Martin’s rookie season, when the first-round draft pick out of Boise State rushed for 1,454 yards and finished third in the league in total yards from scrimmage. After two years marked by injury and ineffectiveness, Martin continued his comeback tour Sunday by rushing for 123 yards and scoring three times in Tampa Bay’s 38-31 triumph against Jacksonville.

“He’s a great back and what Doug did today was amazing,’’ Bucs center Joe Hawley said.
