Bucs injury report for Thursday: RB Martin sidelined

TAMPA -—The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added running back Doug Martin to the injury list Thursday, but coach Lovie Smith didn’t seem too concerned about the knee/quadriceps injury that kept Martin sidelined.

“We kept him out today, but he should be okay,’’ Smith said.

Meanwhile, rookie left tackle Donovan Smith returned to practice after missing Wednesday’s partially-padded workout with a knee injury.

“That’s good news for us,’’ Smith said.

In addition to Martin, cornerback Johnthan Banks (knee), tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder), center Evan Smith (ankle) and tighte end Luke Stocker (hip) sat out practice. Defensive end George Johnson (neck), DT Gerald McCoy (shoulder) and safety Major Wright (abdomen) were limited, but safety Chris Conte (hip) participated fully.
