TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Josh Huff was expected to appear at a case screening today in Camden County, New Jersey, but due to mitigating circumstances -- his sudden job change and move to Tampa, Florida -- he was not present. Instead, he was represented by his attorney Andrew Smith.
"I formally entered his attorney appearance in the case and spoke to the prosecutor's office, explaining Josh's recent move to Florida for employment reasons," Smith told ESPN. "Consequently, Josh's appearance at the case screening today became unnecessary in light of those circumstances."
Smith told ESPN that Huff's missed court appearance did not violate the conditions of his bail.
