The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants named their game day inactives on Sunday at 2:35 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week Nine matchup at Raymond James Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.
The Buccaneers had to keep an eye all week on their starting defensive end pair of William Gholston and Jacquies Smith due to knee and ankle injuries, and the news on Sunday was only half good. Gholston has overcome his knee injury and will suit up against the Giants but the Bucs will be without Smith, their sack leader, due to an ankle ailment.
