TAMPA — Veteran Buccaneers cornerback Tim Jennings knows head coach Lovie Smith well enough to know when Smith isn’t happy.
“He doesn’t have to say a word,’’ said Jennings, who spent four of the past five years playing for Smith. “His body language says it all.’’
For more than a week now, Smith’s body language has been screaming discontent because of the perplexing play of his team’s secondary.
It’s a unit that came out of the bye week on Tuesday ranked fourth in the 32-team NFL in yards allowed per game at 202.4, but 28th in touchdowns allowed with 12.
