TAMPA — Doug Martin’s resurrection and Gerald McCoy’s resilience were recognized Tuesday when the 2016 Pro Bowl rosters were announced.
While Martin, the NFL’s No. 2 rusher, is returning to the Pro Bowl for the first time since his stellar 2012 rookie season, McCoy earned his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl berth as one of the league’s most disruptive defensive tackles.
“I can’t think of a more deserving player to be named to the Pro Bowl than Doug Martin,” said Bucs coach Lovie Smith. “So much of our success on offense is directly related to Doug’s achievements.
“This season, despite battling through injuries, Gerald has anchored our run defense while still leading our team in sacks.
