TAMPA — It's starting to look as if this could be Doug Martin's last season with the Bucs.
Tampa Bay decided not to pick up their fifth-year option for Martin, a first-round pick in 2012, meaning he will become an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season.
Martin, who rushed for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie, has been limited by injuries the past two seasons, playing in 17 games during that stretch.
The one-year option would've been worth about $5.6 million.
Backup Bobby Rainey was the team's leading rusher last year until the final week of the season, when Martin passed him.
