TAMPA, Fla. -- One day after rookie kicker Roberto Aguayo missed a pair of kicks, then made a 38-yard game-winning field goal to beat the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter continued to express concern.
“I think it’s realistic to think in this league that inside of 50 yards, if weather is not a factor, that you’re expected to make [field goals] -- a very high percentage," Koetter said. "There’s plenty of kickers in this league that do."
Aguayo's first missed kick, from 33 yards out, came in the second quarter, after Russell Shepard recovered a muffed punt from Ted Ginn Jr.
