TAMPA — Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David missed a couple of games a year ago with a hamstring injury. He says he’s not about to let an ankle injury keep him out this year.
David returned to practice on Friday and declared himself ready to go for the Bucs game against the Saints on Sunday, even though he has officially been listed as questionable for the game.
“I feel good,’’ said David, who missed part of Wednesday’s workout and all of Thursday’s with a sore ankle. “Me being out, that was just a precautionary thing. Nothing serious, nothing to worry about.
