TAMPA — Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David was in Bristol, Connecticut, kibitzing with the likes of Hannah Storm on the set of ESPN’s “SportsCenter” on Sunday afternoon, when his team’s last faint hopes of reaching the playoffs evaporated.
By Monday morning, David was back in Tampa, where he wasted few words explaining why his fourth season with the Bucs also will be the fourth in which the team failed to earn a postseason berth.
“At the end of day, we have no one else to blame but ourselves,” said David, who appeared as a guest analyst on ESPN on Sunday.
