The NFL announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans would participate in the 2019 Pro Bowl.
Evans did not receive enough votes to make the NFC’s Pro Bowl team initially, but an injury to Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones opened up a spot for Evans.
There was no doubt that Evans was one of the biggest Pro Bowl snubs. He had the third-most receiving yards in the NFL, and his 17.7 yards per reception mark was unmatched with receivers that had his level of production.
Evans will be the first wide receiver in franchise history to make multiple Pro Bowls.
