The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived punter Chase Tenpenny without ever seeing him work out, or do anything on the field, the team announced today. Tenpenny was signed to a futures contract shortly before the end of the 2014 season, having entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers.
And now the Bucs have cut the former Nevada Wolfpack player without ever even working him out. Amusing, but a bit weird. The Buccaneers still have two punters on the roster in Northern Arizona's Andrew Wilder and veteran Michael Koenen.
