The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived James-Michael Johnson with an injury, which means he'll revert to injured reserve after clearing waivers. The Bucs picked up the linebacker off waivers after final cuts, but he apparently suffered an injury after playing 18 special teams snaps against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
With Bruce Carter and Danny Lansanah also suffering injuries against the Titans, the team will want to quickly add some depth at the linebacker position. The most likely signing would be Jason Williams, who was released when the team added Johnson.
