TAMPA, Fla. -- There was a time when John Lynch felt he had made a mistake choosing football over a possible career in baseball. It's difficult to question the decision now: Lynch played 15 years as a safety in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos and is a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
On Friday, Lynch was bestowed another honor: The Buccaneers announced he will be the ninth person to be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor. His induction will take place at halftime of a home game during the 2016 season.
