Buccaneers sign veteran defensive end Darryl Tapp

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will sign veteran defensive end Darryl Tapp to fill the roster spot vacated by Isaiah Johnson, per the Tampa Bay Times.

Tapp originally entered the league as a second-round pick way back in 2006, and spent the first four years of his career with the Seattle Seahawks before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s since played for Washington, the Detroit Lions and most recently the New Orleans Saints.

The Bucs will hope that Tapp can add some production to the pass-rush, which has gotten pressure but failed to turn that pressure into sacks with any kind of consistency.
