The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are continuing their strategy of having a lot of competition at punter: the team just re-signed Jacob Schum to compete with Karl Schmitz and Michael Koenen at that position. Neither punter has looked better than the other so far this offseason, which is not a good thing given that Koenen's been a disappointment for years on end.
Schum was on the Bucs' practice squad last year, but the Bucs cut him at the start of the offseason. He's since been with the New York Jets, punting four times for 205 yards -- which is significantly better than both Schmitz and Koenen, albeit over a very small number of punts.
