The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed offensive lineman Kevin Palmer to replace the recently waived Caylin Hauptmann, the team announced. With Kevin Pamphile excused due to family reasons, and Caleb Benenoch and J.R. Sweezy still sidelined with injuries, the Bucs need some extra players to run practice.
Palmer originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals after the 2014 NFL draft, and has spent time on the Cardinals’, Kansas City Chiefs’ and Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster. The former Baylor player is big and athletic at 6’4”, though his 290 lbs. are pretty light, especially for the Bucs’ standards.
