The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed cornerback Josh Robinson to a one-year contract, the Bucs announced. Having played his college football at UCF, and played high school football at Plantation High School, Robinson returns to his home area.
Robinson entered the league as a third-round pick for the Minnesota Vikings in 2012, and started 21 games over the past four seasons. He was demoted last year after starting the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, playing just 12 defensive snaps over the entire season. He was solid as a rookie, which earned him a starting role in his second year -- one he promptly lost in his third year given his disappointing play.
